Pakistan Stunned by India's Move, Orders Indian Officer to Leave Within 24 Hours

Islamabad (The Uttam Hindu): Tensions between the two countries have deepened after India's action against terrorists and Pakistan's subsequent failed attempt to retaliate. Meanwhile, the Pakistan government has declared an employee of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad as 'undesirable person'. Pakistan has directed the Indian diplomat and his family to leave the country within 24 hours.
The Foreign Ministry of Pakistan informed about this decision through a post on the social media platform X. The ministry wrote, an employee of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad has been declared an undesirable person.
The ministry further said, the Government of Pakistan has declared an employee of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad as persona non grata for engaging in activities contrary to his diplomatic status. The concerned official has been directed to leave Pakistan within 24 hours. The post also said that the Indian High Commissioner was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and apprised of this order.
This development comes after India on Tuesday declared a Pakistani official posted at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi as 'persona non grata' for allegedly indulging in activities inappropriate in nature of his official status in India.
An official statement issued by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs said, "The Government of India has declared a Pakistani official serving in the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi as persona non grata for engaging in activities incompatible with his official status in India. The official has been asked to leave India within 24 hours."
This move by both countries to expel each other's diplomats is likely to further increase the existing tension between India and Pakistan
