Amritsar (The Uttam Hindu): 14 people died after consuming poisonous liquor in Amritsar, Punjab. While the condition of 6 is said to be critical, who have been admitted to a hospital for treatment. This entire incident is being reported from Madhai village and Bhagli village of Majitha. At present, the police have registered a case and started investigation.

According to the police, 14 people have died after consuming poisonous liquor in Madhai village and Bhagli village of Majitha in Amritsar district. While the condition of 6 is said to be critical. The bodies of the deceased have been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem and the matter is being investigated.

Poisonous liquor wreaks havoc in Amritsar, 14 people dead, 6 in critical condition; main accused arrested: SSP Amritsar (rural), Maninder Singh said that 14 people have died due to poisonous liquor. The entire matter is being investigated. After the investigation, action will be taken against whoever is found guilty. The main accused Prabhjeet Singh has been arrested. Prabhjeet Singh is the mastermind of supplying fake liquor. A case has been registered against him under section 105 BNS and 61A of the Excise Act. Apart from this, Prabhjeet's brother Kulbir Singh alias Jaggu and Sahib Singh alias Sarai, Gurjant Singh, Ninder Kaur have also been arrested.

The entire fake liquor network is being investigated. The government has ordered strict investigation against the liquor mafia. Local people told that 14 people have died due to consumption of poisonous liquor. Let us tell you that this is not the first case of death due to poisonous liquor. Earlier also such cases have been reported from different districts of Punjab, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.
