Special Puja Timings Announced for Sawan's Final Monday, Devotees to Perform Rudrabhishek

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): As the holy month of Sawan nears its end, devotees prepare for the fourth and final Sawan Monday (Somwar Vrat), falling on August 4, 2025. Considered the most sacred of all Mondays in the month, this day is believed to be extremely auspicious for worshiping Lord Shiva. According to Hindu belief, chanting the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra on this day can fulfill desires and protect against untimely death.
This year, Sawan lasts for 29 days, and out of four special Mondays, this is the last one — a powerful opportunity to seek blessings. Devotees across India will perform Jalabhishek and Rudrabhishek rituals, offering sacred items like milk, curd, honey, ghee, and sugar (Panchamrit) on the Shivling, while chanting mantras such as “Om Namah Shivaya.”
Auspicious Timings for August 4, 2025:
Brahma Muhurat: 4:20 AM to 5:02 AM
Abhijit Muhurat: 12:00 PM to 12:54 PM
Vijay Muhurat: 2:41 PM to 3:35 PM
Nishith Kaal: 12:06 AM to 12:48 AM (Aug 5)
Amrit Kaal: 1:47 AM to 3:32 AM (Aug 5)
Sarvarth Siddhi Yoga: 5:44 AM to 9:12 AM
Ravi Yoga: Active all day
Ritual Guidelines:
Devotees are encouraged to wear green or white clothes—colors favored by Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. After bathing at Brahma Muhurat, one should sit peacefully before the Shivling, take a vow of fasting, and begin the rituals with Panchamrit Abhishek, offering Bel leaves, Dhatura, Bhang, and sweets. Observers are also advised to follow celibacy and maintain a pure mind and heart throughout the fast.
