Sirens to Sound Tomorrow in Several Districts of Punjab, Haryana and Other States — Check City List

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu)- Mock drill to survive during war… Amid tension with Pakistan, mock drills will be organized in many districts of many states of the country tomorrow to survive during war. This mock drill is being organized to make citizens aware. This drill is to be done from tomorrow i.e. May 7, but in Lucknow, Srinagar and Mumbai, police, SDRF and other rescue teams are being trained to survive during war from today itself. Air raid warning sirens will be sounded during the mock drill. The high-level meeting regarding the preparations for the mock drill has ended in the Home Ministry. According to sources, in the meeting, officials emphasized the need to keep medical kits, torches, candles and cash in homes to be prepared for possible electronic failure.

In Punjab, Amritsar, Bhatinda, Ferozepur, Jalandhar, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Ludhiana, Patiala, Pathankot etc. districts will be under scrutiny. Similarly, Ambala, Hisar, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Panchkula, Panipat, Rohtak, Sirsa etc. districts of Haryana will be under scrutiny. Anantnag, Budgam, Baramulla, Doda, Jammu, Kargil, Kathua, Kupwara, Leh, Poonch, Rajouri, Srinagar, Udhampur, Samba, Akhnoor etc. districts of Jammu and Kashmir will be under scrutiny.
