Washington (The Uttam Hindu): Tensions between the United States and Venezuela have escalated dramatically after a high-voltage military strike in the Caribbean. US President Donald Trump announced on social media that American forces carried out a deadly operation against the notorious narco-terror group Tren de Aragua (TDA), killing 11 terrorists.

Trump declared: “This morning, under my command, US military forces attacked TDA. This terror group operates at the behest of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and is responsible for drug trafficking, human trafficking, mass killings, and spreading violence across the Western Hemisphere. Let this be a message to anyone daring to smuggle drugs into America – beware!”

According to US officials, the strike targeted a TDA ship transporting a massive drug consignment toward the United States. The US Navy intercepted the vessel in international waters and destroyed it in a precision strike. Trump confirmed that “not a single American soldier was harmed” in the mission.

Prior to the strike, Washington had already deployed a large naval fleet in the Caribbean – 4,500 sailors, four destroyers, and Tomahawk cruise missiles – signaling America’s readiness for a showdown. Experts believe the same fleet spearheaded this assault.

Meanwhile, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro accused the US of plotting against his government. He warned: “America is using military threats to topple us, but we are ready to confront every attack.”

Analysts say this operation could push US-Venezuela relations to a breaking point. Trump’s aggressive strategy and his hardline stance against groups like TDA may further destabilize the region and trigger wider conflict.
