Patna (The Uttam Hindu): The first phase of Special Intense Revision (SIR) of the voter list, which started before the assembly elections in Bihar, has been completed. After the completion of this phase, amazing figures have emerged in the state.

During this campaign conducted by the Election Commission through BLOs in the entire state, 22 lakh voters were found dead. Also, 7 lakh people were found in the voter list who were voters from more than one place. In a press note issued by the Election Commission, it was told that 7.23 crore voters participated in the SIR process. The Election Commission said that so far 99.86 percent of Bihar's voters have been covered. In the first phase of voter list revision, 35 lakh voters have either migrated permanently or have left the state.
