Yati Narsinghanand Sparks Outrage with Controversial Remarks on Mothers and Political Leaders

Muzaffarnagar (The Uttam Hindu): Hindu nationalist leader Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati is once again at the center of controversy due to his provocative statements. During a program held at the Shri Shyama Shyam Temple, he made a highly controversial remark, saying, “A mother who gives birth to only one son is like a serpent.” His comments have drawn widespread criticism across social and political circles.
While speaking about family planning, Narsinghanand criticized modern parenting, stating that people nowadays stop having children after one son and one daughter, which he labeled as a “sin.” He claimed that “the Vedas say it’s better to have no son than to have just one.” He went on to argue that “a mother who gives birth to only one son does so for her own pleasure, but in the end, she becomes the destroyer of her own son. Just like a serpent that eats its own eggs, a mother of one son ends up abandoning him.”
Addressing recent violence in Nepal, he claimed that the Nepalese government is now facing the consequences of suppressing Hindus. He stated that the forced attempt to make the country secular has provoked public anger and unrest.
In a separate comment targeting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Yati Narsinghanand mocked his recent statements about electoral fraud in Bihar. He said, “In politics, leaders bark like street dogs — whether it’s Rahul Gandhi or anyone else.” His remarks have intensified calls for action and condemnation from multiple sections of society.
