New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Television's most popular quiz reality show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' (KBC) has returned to the audience once again with its 17th season. The show's megastar and host Amitabh Bachchan is gracing the show in his usual style, but this time many important changes have been made in the show. These changes have been made especially keeping in mind the contestants, so that they can win maximum amount of money in the game.

This show, which has been entertaining the audience for the last 25 years, has a new twist in the rules and format this time. Let's know about the 4 big changes in 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 17':

1. Big increase in prize money

This season the prize money has been increased at many levels. Till now, the correct answer to the first question used to give Rs. 1,000, which has been increased 5 times to Rs. 5,000. The first stop after the first 5 questions used to be Rs. 10,000, which has now become Rs. 25,000. Similarly, the second stop amount of Rs. 3.20 lakh has been increased to Rs. 5 lakh.

2. New twist in lifeline

There has been a big change in the lifeline which is considered the soul of the show. Instead of four lifelines of last season, only three have been kept this time. While retaining 'Audience Poll' and '50:50', a new lifeline 'Shanket Sukta' has been added. With the help of this, the contestant can get a clue related to the question.

3. Hot seat turned silver

'KBC' is celebrating its silver jubilee this year. To celebrate this special occasion, changes have been made on the set as well. The show's iconic hot seat, which was always black in colour, has now been painted silver.

4. The path to the hot seat has become more difficult.

This time, sitting on the hot seat in front of Amitabh Bachchan has become more challenging than before. Now just winning the 'Fastest Finger First' round will not suffice. There will be another round called 'Jaldi 5' between the two winners of 'Fastest Finger First'. Only the contestant who wins this second round will get a chance to reach the hot seat.
