Class 6 student spends ₹13 lakh on online games, later commits suicide

Lucknow (The Uttam Hindu): Yash Kumar, a class 6 student studying in a BIPS school in Mohanlalganj area of Lucknow ended his life after losing a huge amount in an online game. Yash's father Suresh Kumar Yadav works as a painter. He had sold his land about 2 years ago and deposited Rs 13 lakh in the Bijnor branch of Union Bank.
A class 6 student spent 13 lakhs on online games… then committed suicide, his father had saved the money by selling his land: On Monday, when he got his passbook updated, he was shocked to find that Rs 13 lakh was missing from his account. On investigation, it was found that this amount had been spent through online games. After returning home, Suresh asked his son Yash about this. At first, Yash avoided the topic but later accepted that he had lost all the money while playing Free Fire.
Even then the father did not scold his son but only explained to him. The tuition teacher also assured him that he will make Yash understand. But soon after this, Yash went to his room and hanged himself from the fan and committed suicide.
The family immediately took Yash to the community health center, where doctors declared him dead. The police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem. The village is mourning due to the incident. Yash was the only son of his parents. Mother Vimala fainted on hearing the news of his death, while sister Gungun is inconsolable.
