Police act after video goes viral

Two short video clips that surfaced on social media on February 21 showed a hotel worker allegedly spitting on rotis while preparing food. After the videos spread widely, police identified the location and conducted a raid. The accused worker was taken into custody and a case was registered under relevant sections, with further investigation underway.

Food safety team collects samples

A food safety department team also inspected the premises and collected samples of food items for laboratory testing. As a precautionary measure, authorities ordered the temporary closure of the hotel until the investigation is completed. Officials said the situation remains under control and necessary legal action is being taken.
