In a horrific act, father slits throats of twin daughters after quarrel with wife

Buldhana (Maharashtra) (The Uttam Hindu): A heartbreaking incident has come to light from Maharashtra's Buldhana district. In Andhera village, two and a half year old twin daughters were murdered by their father by slitting their throats. According to reports, the accused father, Rahul Chavan, was traveling with his wife and two daughters on a motorcycle to Ruigosta village in Washim district's Manora tehsil on October 21st.
On the way, the husband and wife had an argument over something. The argument escalated to the point where the wife got off the bike and left on foot to go to her parents' home. After her departure, Rahul took his twin daughters and continued on. Near Andhera village, he stopped the bike, took them into the forest, and strangled them to death. He then returned directly to his village, Ruigosta.
On Saturday, two days after the incident, Rahul Chavan went to the Asegaon police station in Washim district and confessed to killing his twin daughters. Police immediately took him into custody and handed him over to the Andhera police for further investigation. The accused showed police the scene where the bodies of the girls were recovered. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. Police have arrested the accused father and registered a murder case.
