Horrific act: Father and son hack buffaloes’ udders and horns with axe, animals left in agony

Shivpuri (The Uttam Hindu): A brutal incident has come to light from Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh, shocking everyone who heard it. Angered by their passing through the field, a farmer and his two sons attacked 12 innocent buffaloes with axes. The trio not only cut off their horns but also severed their udders, severely injuring them.
This horrifying incident occurred in Shergarh village, located in the Mayapur police station area of Pichhore tehsil in Shivpuri district. Buffalo owner and complainant Kripan Singh Gurjar reported to the police that at around 6 p.m. on Saturday evening, his 10 buffaloes and those of two other farmers (Bhaiyalal Lodhi and Lakhan Kumar Sharma) were grazing on a plateau near the village.
Just then, farmer Shivdayal Lodhi arrived with his sons, Tikaram and Anil Lodhi. Seeing the buffaloes near their farm, they became enraged. Allegedly, the sons caught the buffaloes and the father, Shivdayal used an axe to chop off the horns and udders of all 12 buffaloes one by one.
The complainant said, "When we saw the buffaloes, they were writhing in pain and blood was everywhere. Their condition was horrifying." A veterinarian was called upon to treat the seriously injured buffaloes. The owners have demanded that the perpetrators of such brutality against these innocent animals be punished with the harshest punishment.
Following the inhumane incident, police on Sunday registered a case against the accused father, Shivdayal Lodhi, and his two sons under Section 325 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), 2023 and began an investigation. This incident has raised a significant question: who is the real animal?
