Dehradun(The Uttam Hindu): – A wave of panic swept through Bhauwala village near Dehradun on Monday after locals spotted a massive 10-foot-long King Cobra coiled on a tree, its hood spread wide. The unexpected sighting of one of the world’s most venomous snakes left villagers in fear and shock.*

According to eyewitnesses, the snake was first seen by a group of villagers who were passing by. The sheer size and intimidating posture of the cobra sent shockwaves through the area. Concerned for their safety, residents immediately alerted the Forest Department.

Rescue teams from the Forest Department promptly arrived at the scene, but bringing the cobra down from the tree proved to be a daunting task. A video of the incident, which has since gone viral, shows forest officials struggling to control the powerful snake. Even the trained rescuers appeared visibly tense during the operation.

After several hours of intense effort, the team successfully captured the cobra without harm. The villagers, who had gathered at a distance to watch the rescue, finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Officials confirmed that the snake would be safely released into its natural forest habitat, away from human settlements. The Forest Department also urged people in the region to remain vigilant, especially during the monsoon season, when snake sightings increase.
