Kallakurichi (The Uttam Hindu): A strange and tragic incident has emerged from Tamil Nadu's Kallakurichi district. A man shot a chicken but the bullet missed its target and struck a young man sleeping in a neighboring house, killing him on the spot. This shocking incident occurred in Melmadur village located in the Kalvarayan Hills of Kallakurichi district.

According to reports, a man named Annamalai kept an illegal country-made pistol at his home for hunting wild animals. Recently, his son-in-law was visiting him. Annamalai decided to make chicken curry for his son-in-law.

For this, he tried to catch a rooster roaming outside the house but when he could not catch it, he took out his illegal pistol kept inside the house and shot the rooster.

Unfortunately, he missed his target and the bullet struck a young man named Prakash, who was sleeping in a neighboring house in the head. Prakash died on the spot. This unexpected incident has cast a pall of gloom over the entire village and the police have launched an investigation.
