Ahmedabad (The Uttam Hindu): A case that shames humanity has come to light from Ahmedabad, Gujarat. In the Vadaj area, a 21-year-old man crossed all limits of cruelty against a mute animal in an act of revenge. The man brutally beat a cat and crushed it with stones, killing it. Police have arrested the main accused after a video of this horrific incident went viral on social media.

Police investigation has revealed that the incident occurred on Sunday. The accused has been identified as Rahul Dantani. His 20-year-old wife is six months pregnant. It is being told that on Sunday, when Rahul's wife went to feed the cat, the cat attacked her, injuring her. The wife was immediately taken to a doctor, but enraged by this incident, Rahul decided to take revenge on the cat and hatched a horrific plot with two of his friends.

Stuffed in a sack, thrown on the ground and crushed with stones
The brutality of the accused can be clearly seen in the video going viral on social media. The accused first imprisoned the cat in a plastic sack and loaded it on a bike and took it to a deserted field. There they repeatedly slammed the sack on the ground with full force. After this, when the cat was taken out, it was half dead. Despite this, their anger did not subside. One youth kept the cat pressed by placing his foot on its head, while the other killed it by hitting it with big stones. Meanwhile, the third person kept making a video of the entire incident while enjoying it.
A case has been registered under animal cruelty charges.
As soon as the video went viral, widespread outrage spread among animal lovers. Viral Patel, a member of an animal welfare organization, immediately contacted the Vadaj police station and filed a complaint, presenting the video as evidence. Police have registered a case under serious sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Police officials say that based on the video, all the accused have been identified and taken into custody, and further legal action is being taken.
