Saraswati puja celebrated with meat feast at government school, Principal fled seeing media

Surat (Uttam Hindu News): A sensational case of desecration of the temple of education has come to light at a government school in Gujarat's Surat district. On Sunday, not only was a non-vegetarian party held, but the idol of Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of learning, installed on the school premises was also covered with a cloth. When the media arrived at the scene after learning of the incident, the principal, the entire school staff, and the organizers fled.
This entire controversy involves a government school run by the Shikshan Samiti in Godhra. According to reports, alumni from the Telugu community, who attended the school between 1987 and 1991, used the school premises for a get-together. Chicken and mutton were cooked and served at the party. Most shockingly, the school principal was present and supervised the entire incident.
The school security guard said that everyone had arrived in the morning itself, after which this program was organized.
As the matter escalated, the Education Committee also swung into action. Committee Chairman Rajendra Kapadia and spokesperson Vinod Gajera stated that they had spoken with the school principal, who had admitted his mistake. They added that a committee meeting would be held on Monday to discuss the matter, where, after a thorough investigation, strict and appropriate action would be taken against the principal.
It's worth noting that this isn't the first instance of such a party in schools. A few months ago, a similar incident occurred in Bihar's Bhabua district, where 11 teachers cooked and ate chicken inside the school. After a video of the party went viral, the Education Department investigated and suspended all 11 teachers. Now, this incident in Surat has once again raised serious questions about the dignity of educational institutions.
