16-Year-Old Student Jumps to Death from School Building, CCTV Captures LIVE Incident

Ahmedabad (The Uttam Hindu):A devastating incident has shaken the Navrangpura area, where a 16-year-old Class 10 student lost her life after jumping from the fourth floor of her school. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon around 12:30 p.m. during the lunch break at Som Lalit School.

According to eyewitnesses and CCTV footage, the girl walked out of her classroom and jumped over the lobby railing, suffering severe head injuries and fractures in her arms and legs. She was immediately rushed to a private hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries late Thursday night.

The school management has cooperated with the authorities, sharing all relevant CCTV footage from the day. The police are currently investigating the circumstances leading to the incident, questioning the girl's classmates, friends, and teachers. Her mobile phone has been seized as part of the investigation.

No suicide note has been found in her school bag or at home, leaving the reasons behind her extreme action unclear. The girl's father, a shop owner in the Navrangpura area, had dropped her off at school in the morning and received a call around 12:45 p.m. informing him of the incident.
