Bijnor (The Uttam Hindu): A wedding ceremony in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, was rocked when members of the groom's and bride's families clashed over chicken fry. The dispute escalated to the point where both sides exchanged blows and punches. The situation escalated to the point where the police had to be called in. Ultimately, the remaining wedding rituals were completed in the presence of police, and the bride was sent off.

According to reports, this incident occurred at the Falak Marriage Hall in Majheda Tibri, Nagina, where the wedding procession had arrived from Kotra. During the wedding, when the bride's family was serving food to the wedding party, some of the guests complained that they were being served less chicken fry.

It is alleged that upon this complaint, the bride's side, either sarcastically or in anger, filled the wedding party's plates with fried chicken. This infuriated the wedding party members and they retorted, "Serve the food politely." This simple matter sparked an argument between the two sides, which quickly escalated into a physical altercation.

Somehow, people intervened and calmed both sides down, but the situation didn't end there. It's alleged that the crowd of wedding guests then pounced on the food again and finished it all in no time. They then started creating a ruckus, demanding fried chicken again.

Seeing the dispute escalate, someone informed the police. Police and Muslim religious leaders arrived at the scene and pacified both sides. Afterward, the marriage rituals were completed in the presence of the police, and the bride was sent off. However, approximately 15 people from both sides were injured in this "chicken fight" and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Maulana Hashim of the bride's side stated that 450 kilograms of chicken and 20-25 pots of biryani were provided for 2,000 people. However, the wedding party was deliberately wasting the food to bring disrepute to the bride's family.

The groom's party claimed that while they were eating, the bride's party attacked the chicken and began eating it themselves. This led to three fights.
