Raipur (The Uttam Hindu): A surprising incident has occurred in a small village in Chhattisgarh. A young man living in Madagaon, within the Devbhog police station area of Gariaband district, started receiving calls from famous cricketers like Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers on his phone. The young man, Manish BC, bought a new Jio SIM on June 28. Unbeknownst to him, the number was previously registered in the name of Indian cricketer Rajat Patidar. The SIM had been inactive for over 90 days before being allotted to Manish.

After activating the SIM and installing WhatsApp, Manish found Rajat Patidar's display picture on the app. Initially, he thought it was a technical glitch. However, he soon started getting calls from prominent cricketers. Manish initially thought these calls were jokes but later realized they were genuine. The situation took a turn when Rajat Patidar himself called Manish on July 15, requesting him to return the SIM. With the help of the MP Cyber Cell and Gariaband Police, Rajat Patidar got his number back.
