‘Miracle in MP’: Woman Gives Birth to ‘Chhota Bheem’, Doctors Stunned by Baby’s Weight

Jabalpur (The Uttam Hindu): A unique case has come to light in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, which has surprised everyone. In the city's Rani Durgavati Elgin Hospital, a woman has given birth to a newborn baby weighing 5.2 kg (five and a half kilos), whose weight is almost double that of normal babies. As soon as the news of this amazing weight of the child spread, a crowd of people gathered to see him. The hospital staff and family members are lovingly calling him 'Chhota Bheem'.
This is the case of Anand Chauksey's 34-year-old wife Shubhangi Chauksey, who was admitted to Elgin Hospital after labor pains. When the abnormal size of the baby was detected during the examination, the doctors decided to perform a cesarean operation. The team of doctors led by gynecologist Dr. Bhavna Mishra successfully carried out a challenging operation.
Dr. Bhavna Mishra said, usually the weight of a newborn is between 2.5 to 3 kg. Delivery becomes challenging only when the weight is more than 3 kg, but a child weighing more than 5 kg is a very rare case. Such a case is seen only once in thousands of deliveries. She said that due to the heavy weight, the operation took more time than usual, but due to the alertness of the entire team, both the mother and the child are completely safe.
According to doctors, babies with such high weight are called 'macrosomic babies' in medical language. This often happens due to the mother having diabetes or other health problems. But surprisingly, all the medical reports of Shubhangi Chauksey are absolutely normal. In such a situation, it is believed that the good diet and balanced nutrition taken by the mother during pregnancy is the reason for this extraordinary weight of the child.
At present, both mother and child are healthy and will be discharged from the hospital soon. The entire Chaukse family is extremely happy with the arrival of this 'Chhota Bheem' and is considering this moment as nothing less than a miracle.
