Woman leaves husband, kills lover in Surat after marriage dispute, hides body in trolley bag

Surat (The Uttam Hindu): A love affair sparked on social media has come to light in a horrific way. A 22-year-old woman (Kajal) was struggling with her husband when she met another man. She fell in love with him so much that she followed him from Bihar to Delhi and then to Surat, Gujarat.
But no one imagined this love story would end so horribly. Kajal's body was stuffed into a travel bag and buried in a ditch. It's alleged that the lover she traveled from Bihar to Gujarat to find, fed up with the pressure of marriage, murdered her and then fled with her two-year-old son.
Surat police solved the case and arrested the accused lover, Ravi Sharma (27). On Monday, police recovered a trolley bag containing Kajal's body from a ditch near a railway overbridge on the Kosamba-Tarsadi Road, about 50 kilometers from Surat.
After committing the crime, the accused, Ravi, fled with Kajal's son. Surat Police acted swiftly, arresting Ravi and safely recovering Kajal's son.
Initial police investigations revealed that Kajal and Ravi met through social media about a year ago. Ravi Sharma, a resident of Bhatolia, Muzaffarpur, was working at a hotel in Delhi at the time. Kajal, also from a village in Muzaffarpur, was married and had a child, but due to her separation from her husband, she wanted to live with Ravi.
According to the police, Kajal moved to Delhi with her one-year-old son and began pressuring Ravi to marry her. However, Ravi refused to marry her, leading to frequent quarrels between the two.
A few months ago, Ravi quietly moved to Gujarat without informing Kajal and began working there. He cut off contact with her and even blocked her number.
Kajal contacted the friend with whom Ravi had traveled to Gujarat and managed to locate him. A few days ago, she arrived in Kosamba (Surat) from Delhi with her son.
She began living with Ravi and increased the pressure on him to marry her. On Sunday, they had a heated argument over this issue, after which Ravi strangled Kajal to death.
After the murder, Ravi first left Kajal's child at a friend's house. He then went to Kosamba railway station and bought a trolley bag. He returned, placed Kajal's body in the bag, and buried it in a ditch. He later took the child and traveled by train to Delhi. Police arrested him at a friend's house in Faridabad.
