Woman plots husband’s murder with lover, gives him sleeping pills and throws body in canal

Meerut (The Uttam Hindu) – In Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh, cases of wives murdering their husbands are continuously emerging. These are often attributed to relationships with lovers or domestic violence. Another shocking incident occurred in Rasulpur village, under the Rohta police station area, where a wife, along with her lover and his friend, murdered her husband.
According to sources, Anil (32), a resident of Rasulpur village, had been married to Kajal eight years ago, with whom he has three children. Everything was going well, but on October 26th, Anil's brother filed a missing person's report at the police station. Anil's brother later filed a missing person's report on November 5th, alleging that his wife, Kajal, her lover, Akash, and his friend, Badal, had kidnapped his brother. Police initiated action.
The investigation revealed that Anil's wife, Kajal, was having an affair with Akash, a young man from the same village. The villagers had already learned of their illicit relationship. A panchayat was even held, but Anil's family, fearing disrepute, suppressed the matter. Despite this, Kajal and Akash's relationship continued, and they frequently met.
Rural Superintendent of Police Abhijeet Kumar said that during interrogation, it was revealed that Kajal had conspired with her lover, Akash, to murder Anil. Akash gave Kajal sedatives, which she fed to Anil. When Anil became intoxicated, Kajal, Akash, and their friend Badal took him on a bike to the Siwal Khas Gang Canal Bridge, where Kajal tried to strangle him with her scarf, but he did not die. He was then thrown into the canal, half-dead.
The police have arrested the accused and initiated investigation. Anil's body has not yet been recovered. Divers are searching the canal for the body, and it is expected to be recovered soon.
