15-Year-Old Student Sentenced to Life Imprisonment for Classmate's Murder

London (The Uttam Hindu): A 15-year-old Pakistani-origin school student stabbed his classmate. The accused, Umar Khan, has been sentenced to life imprisonment. The crime occurred at a school in Sheffield, northern England. Umar Khan had previously admitted to possessing a bladed object on the school campus. The deceased student's name is Harvey.
Harvey and Khan attended All Saints Catholic High School in Sheffield, where the attack occurred during lunch break on February 3. The court was told that students who witnessed the attack fled in "fear and panic," and some locked themselves in cupboards. The court also heard that shortly after stabbing Harvey, Khan told the school's headmaster: "I'm not mentally well. My mother doesn't look after me properly" and "You know I can't control this."
