Phuket(The Uttam Hindu): An Air India flight (AI 379) traveling from Phuket, Thailand to Delhi had to make an emergency landing on Friday after a bomb threat was reported while in the air. The flight, which had 156 passengers on board, safely returned to Phuket International Airport after circling over the Andaman Sea. Authorities confirmed that all passengers were evacuated without incident, and emergency protocols were swiftly enacted. Thankfully, no explosives were discovered, and the origin of the threat is still a mystery.

This unsettling event comes just a day after the tragic Air India AI-171 crash in Ahmedabad, which took the lives of 241 people, including an entire family of doctors from Rajasthan who were on their way to the UK. Their last selfie taken on the doomed flight has gone viral, resonating deeply with the nation.

To add to the emotional turmoil, the Ax-4 space mission, which was set to send Indian astronaut Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla to the ISS, has also been postponed due to technical problems with the ISS Zvezda module. These consecutive tragedies and alerts have put India's aviation and space sectors on high alert as investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
