America, Israel and Europe don’t want us to be self-reliant, warns Iranian president, says any conflict will get harsh response

Tehran (The Uttam Hindu): Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian made an important statement on Saturday, saying that his country is currently facing a wide-ranging conflict with the United States, Israel, and European countries. According to him, the pressure being exerted on Iran by Western countries is more complex and dangerous than the Iran-Iraq war of the 1980s. This statement comes at a time when Israel is trying to persuade the United States to take tough measures against Iran again.
“America, Israel, and Europe don't want us to be self-reliant… any conflict will lead to a harsh response,” the Iranian president warned: In an interview given to the official website of the Supreme Leader, President Pezeshkian said that the current situation cannot be seen only as a conventional war. According to him, America, Israel, and Europe do not want Iran to become self-reliant. He said that during the war with Iraq, the situation was clear because it was clear where the attack was coming from and where to respond, whereas today's situation is much more complicated.
The Iranian president stated that the current conflict is not limited to the military front. He said that Iran is being pressured on multiple levels, including economic, political, cultural, and security. He alleged that new problems are constantly being created by surrounding the country from all sides.
Meanwhile, preparations are underway for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to the United States. Reports suggest he may discuss potential military options with President Donald Trump regarding Iran. Western media are also reporting that Iran is reactivating its ballistic missile program and repairing air defense systems damaged during the June conflict.
Israel has also informed the US that recent missile exercises conducted by Iran could be a sign of preparations for a major attack. The Israeli army chief has raised this concern directly with the head of US Central Command.
President Pezeshkian claims that Iran is now in a stronger position than it was during the 12-Day War with Israel. According to him, the country has better military equipment and trained human resources. He warned that if the enemy chooses the path of confrontation, it will face an even harsher response.
It is noteworthy that in June, Israel launched airstrikes and covert operations against Iranian military and nuclear facilities, killing over 1,000 people. In response, Iran launched a large number of missiles and drones against Israel. The United States subsequently joined the conflict, bombing three Iranian nuclear facilities.
