Another Hindu youth killed in Bangladesh, grocery trader targeted; 6 deaths in 18 days

Dhaka (The Uttam Hindu): Incidents of violence against the minority Hindu community continue to surface in Bangladesh. In the latest case from Narsingdi district, a grocery trader named Mani Chakraborty was brutally killed by miscreants. The incident reportedly took place around 8 pm on Monday night.
According to available information, Mani Chakraborty ran a grocery shop at Charsindur Bazaar, located in the Palash upazila of Narsingdi district. He was a resident of Sadharchar Union in Shibpur upazila and the son of Madan Thakur. Local sources said that Mani Chakraborty was present at his shop as usual when unidentified attackers suddenly assaulted him.
He sustained serious injuries in the attack. People present nearby rushed him to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries on the way. Following the incident, an atmosphere of fear and tension has gripped the entire area.
Local traders stated that Mani Chakraborty was a quiet and peace-loving person and had no known disputes with anyone. The brutal killing of a trader in a crowded market has further deepened the sense of insecurity among shopkeepers and residents.
Members of the local community have expressed serious concern over the incident. They said that the public killing of a minority Hindu trader is extremely alarming and demanded the immediate arrest of the culprits along with strict action by the administration.
