Bomb scare forces Medina‑to‑Hyderabad flight to land in Ahmedabad; suspect held

Ahmedabad (The Uttam Hindu): A panic broke out on an Indigo flight from Medina to Hyderabad when a bomb threat was received. For safety reasons, the plane made an emergency landing at Ahmedabad Airport.

According to reports, a passenger's behavior during the flight was deemed highly suspicious, leading to suspicions of a bomb. The crew and pilot decided to divert the flight to Ahmedabad, prioritizing the safety of the passengers.

As soon as the plane landed, local police and security forces surrounded it on the runway. All passengers were safely evacuated. Bomb squads and security agencies then began a thorough search of the plane.

DCP Zone 4, Atul Bansal, confirmed the incident and said that the passenger with suspicious behavior has been detained by police and is being questioned. The plane is currently under investigation, and security agencies are working to ensure there are no explosives on board.
