Tianjin (The Uttam Hindu): Whenever Prime Minister Narendra Modi goes on a tour, everyone's eyes are on his convoy. But this time during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit being held in China, a car in his convoy has become a topic of discussion all over the world. In fact, China has presented a new example of hospitality by giving PM Modi its most prestigious and President Xi Jinping's favorite car 'Hongqi L5'.

This car is also known as 'Red Flag' and is a symbol of China's national dignity. This is the same car that President Xi Jinping used to meet PM Modi during his visit to Mahabalipuram in India in 2019. Now China's handing over this car to PM Modi is being seen as a big diplomatic message. This car is manufactured by China's state-owned company 'First Automotive Works', which made the first car in 1958 for the top leaders of the Communist Party.

According to media reports, Hongqi L5 is the most expensive car made in China, which costs around Rs 5.6 crore. It is the official government car of China and is sold only in China. It is unmatched in terms of security and luxury. It has a turbocharged V8 engine, which gives a power of 402 horsepower. This car can reach a speed of 100 kilometers per hour in just 8 seconds and can run up to 500 miles (about 800 kilometers) once the tank is full.

The interesting thing is that while on one hand China has handed over its most special car to PM Modi, on the other hand Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has come to attend the SCO Summit, has brought his favourite limousine car "Aurus" himself and is travelling in it.
