Trump warns of retaliation after 158 ships destroyed in Strait of Hormuz
Donald Trump warns of strong retaliation after ships destroyed in Strait of Hormuz.

Washington (The Uttam Hindu): Donald Trump has announced a maritime blockade against Iran and issued a strong warning regarding its naval activity. He stated that the United States would use the same aggressive “kill system” deployed against drug traffickers at sea if Iranian vessels approach the blockade. The move has further escalated tensions in the region.
Trump claimed that a large portion of Iran’s naval fleet has been destroyed, saying that 158 ships were taken out while some fast attack vessels were left as they were not considered a major threat. He warned that any such ships coming near the blockade would be immediately targeted. Describing the system as swift and ruthless, he also asserted that it has been highly effective in stopping illegal maritime activities.
The blockade came into effect on Monday evening, with strict monitoring of vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Trump said that ships attempting to cross the route would be stopped and inspected, especially those suspected of paying tolls to Iran. According to him, such measures are aimed at weakening Iran’s economic strength and tightening control over key maritime routes.
