Donald Trump Claims Russia-Ukraine War Continues Due to ‘Personal Hatred’ Between Putin and Zelensky

Washington (The Uttam Hindu): Former U.S. President Donald Trump has made a sensational statement about the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, saying that he was close to ending the devastating conflict two months ago. However, the deep personal rivalry between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky prevented peace from being achieved.
In his statement, Trump said, “I thought we were very close to an agreement, but the hatred between Putin and Zelensky is too much, and that became a major obstacle.” Referring to the peace deals achieved in the Middle East during his presidency, he added, “Who would have thought that I could bring peace to the Middle East? I believe that the war between Russia and Ukraine will also come to an end.”
Trump also took a jab at Vladimir Putin, saying that he should have won the war within a week, but it has now dragged on for the fourth year. Trump said, “We all want President Putin to stop this. The killing of Russians and Ukrainians must end. He is getting many of his own people killed, which is damaging his own image as well.”
During the conversation, Trump also mentioned India, claiming that the country had assured him it would not purchase oil from Russia. According to him, “If India stops buying Russian oil, it will be easier to end the war. India assured me that it would not buy oil from Russia. Once the war is over, they can start again.”
This statement has come at a time when the Russia-Ukraine conflict continues without resolution, and international efforts are underway to find peace. Trump’s claims have sparked a new debate, especially regarding his remarks about India, and the world now awaits international reactions to his comments.
