Elon Musk Enters Politics, Announces Party to Rival Trump

Washington (The Uttam Hindu): Tensions between tech billionaire Elon Musk and former U.S. President Donald Trump have reached a new level as Musk officially announced the launch of his own political party, the ‘America Party’, on his social media platform X. The move is seen as a direct challenge to Trump’s leadership and the policies associated with his proposed "Big Beautiful Bill."

Musk criticized the bill, calling it a dangerous move that could lead to America’s economic downfall. Taking to X, he wrote, “Trump’s big, beautiful bill will bankrupt America.”A day after polling his followers about forming a new political party, Musk declared the launch of the America Party, saying it was time to “give you your freedom back.”

The Tesla and SpaceX CEO has expressed growing frustration with the current political leadership and rising federal expenditure. In a recent interview, Musk said the bill weakens government efficiency and adds to the national deficit, highlighting his break from Trump, whom he was once considered close to.
