FlyDubai co-pilot linked to Al-Qaeda allegedly planned to crash plane
Shocking revelations claim the FlyDubai co-pilot, linked to Al-Qaeda, allegedly wanted to crash the plane in a planned terror act.

Dubai (The Uttam Hindu): The investigation into the September 30, 2026, incident involving FlyDubai Flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv has revealed several significant details. According to investigators, Hammami is suspected of planning to kill the captain seize control of the aircraft and crash it in Tel Aviv. UAE authorities are investigating the circumstances, motive and possible terrorist connections.
Investigators are also examining Hammami’s past activities and social media accounts. Reports indicate that he had previously been removed from Oman Air, while his accounts allegedly contained material linked to al-Qaeda and extremist ideology. References to former al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri and Humam Khalil Abu-Mulal al-Balawi have reportedly been found. However, no direct link between the material and the flight incident has been established.
During the incident, the aircraft rapidly descended and transmitted emergency and unauthorised interference signals, prompting a security response from Israel. The flight was eventually diverted to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia and landed safely. All passengers were evacuated, while injured Captain Smit Machhar received treatment. Israel has since ordered a review of aviation security arrangements. Investigators are examining whether Hammami planned to crash the aircraft in Tel Aviv as well as possible links to other individuals or organisations. The probe is ongoing.
