Washington (The Uttam Hindu): The G7, a group of seven powerful countries in the world, has issued a major statement regarding the Israel-Iran conflict. The group has expressed solidarity with Israel and blamed Iran for spreading instability in West Asia. The G7 leaders made it clear in the statement that Iran can never be allowed to possess nuclear weapons. They also stressed the need for peace and permanent solution in the region.

Meanwhile, at the G-7 summit, former US President Donald Trump questioned the role of the group, saying that it was a mistake to expel Russia from the G7 in 2014, which increased global instability. He also suggested including China in the group.

What has happened so far in the Israel-Iran conflict?

It has been five days since the Israel-Iran conflict. According to Iran's Health Ministry, about 224 people have died so far in Israeli attacks. At the same time, Iranian attacks have caused extensive damage in Tel Aviv, Haifa and Petah Tikva, in which at least 22 people have lost their lives.
