US to Send Back Happy Pasiya: Khalistani Militant Involved in Over 14 Terror Acts

New Delhi/Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): The process of bringing notorious gangster and Khalistani terrorist Happy Pasiya, responsible for a series of terrorist attacks in Punjab, from America to India is in its final stage. He will be brought to India soon. Happy, who has become the face of terror in Punjab during the years 2024 and 2025, was detained from Sacramento, America in April. He is currently in the custody of American agency ICE. Happy Pasiya was taken into custody in America on 17 April.
The NIA had announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh on Happy Pasia's head. He is accused of carrying out more than 14 terror incidents in Punjab, including hand grenade attacks, targeting police stations and social media posts taking responsibility for the blasts.
According to sources, Happy Pasia was in contact with Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI and Khalistani terrorist organizations like Babbar Khalsa International. He used to plot attacks with the aim of spreading instability in India, especially in Punjab.
Happy's name came up in a series of grenade blasts and terrorist incidents in several districts of Punjab during 2024-25. Some major incidents:
November 24, 2024: RDX planted outside Ajnala police station.
November 27: Grenade attack on police post in Gurbakhsh Nagar.
December 2: Explosion in Kathgarh police station of SBS Nagar, three terrorists arrested.
December 4: Explosion in Majitha police station, police said it was a tyre burst, but later disputed.
December 13: Grenade attack on Aliwal Batala police station, Pasia took responsibility.
December 17: Explosion in Islamabad police station, DGP considered it a terrorist attack.
January 19, 2025: Explosion at Gumtala police post, Babbar Khalsa took responsibility.
February 3: Attack on Amritsar post, police refused to accept it as grenade.
February 14: Explosion in policeman's house in Gurdaspur.
March 15: Attack on temple by Thakur of Amritsar, main accused Gursidak Singh killed in encounter.
Punjab Police and central agencies, in collaboration with US security agencies, have prepared the necessary documents for the extradition of Pasia. It is expected that he will soon be brought to India at Delhi airport, where he will be thoroughly questioned about the terrorist network and funding.
