New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu) – In a rare diplomatic moment, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu paused a high-level security cabinet meeting to personally speak with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The conversation focused on the ongoing ceasefire and the release of hostages in Gaza under President Donald Trump’s 20-point Gaza peace plan.

According to The Times of Israel, Netanyahu interrupted the cabinet discussion on the peace plan to congratulate Modi and exchange updates on the progress of humanitarian aid and hostage releases. The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office confirmed that Modi extended his congratulations on the agreement, highlighting the positive steps taken under Trump’s initiative.

Modi later shared on X (formerly Twitter), “I spoke with my friend, PM Netanyahu, to congratulate him on the progress achieved under President Trump’s Gaza peace plan. We welcomed the agreements on the release of hostages and increased humanitarian assistance for the people of Gaza. I also emphasized that terrorism in any form, anywhere in the world, is unacceptable.”

This high-profile interaction underscores India’s growing role in international diplomacy and signals continued collaboration on Middle East peace efforts.
