Famous 32-Year-Old Actress Found Dead in Apartment; Body Discovered Two Weeks Later

Karachi (The Uttam Hindu): Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar Ali, aged 32, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in her Karachi apartment on July 8. Police recovered her decomposed body after neighbors complained of a strong stench coming from the residence. Investigators believe she died nearly two weeks ago.

The tragic discovery was made when the building’s landlord, unable to reach her and frustrated over unpaid rent, initiated legal proceedings for eviction. Following a court order, police arrived at her commercial-area apartment around 3:15 PM. When she didn’t respond, the door was forced open—revealing her lifeless body.

According to DIG Syed Asad Raza, the apartment was locked from the inside and the balcony door was also secured, with no visible signs of forced entry or struggle. The Crime Scene Unit and forensic experts were called in, and the body was sent to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for autopsy.

Police Surgeon Dr. Summaiya Syed confirmed the advanced decomposition of the body and stated that the exact cause of death remains unclear. Authorities are now awaiting the postmortem report to determine whether foul play was involved.

Police sources say that Humaira was living alone in the rented flat and had not paid rent for several months. Investigators are now working to trace her family members through mobile records.

Humaira Asghar had previously appeared in the ARY reality show "Tamasha Ghar", and in the 2015 film "Jalebi." Her Instagram bio listed her as not just an actress and model but also a painter, sculptor, theatre artist, and fitness enthusiast. She had over 713,000 followers on the platform.
