Moscow (The Uttam Hindu): Russian President Vladimir Putin has issued a strong warning to European countries, saying that if Europe chooses the path of war, Russia is fully prepared and its response will be decisive. Ahead of his visit to India on December 4, Putin made it clear that Russia does not seek conflict, but any attack will be met with immediate action. Meanwhile, diplomatic activity in Moscow has intensified over the Ukraine conflict. US President’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and former White House advisor Jared Kushner are also in Moscow to discuss a possible peace plan.

Speaking at the Moscow Investment Forum, Putin warned that if Europe initiates a war, the situation will become so severe that “no one will remain to negotiate a peace agreement.” He accused European nations of altering peace proposals in ways unacceptable to Russia and then blaming Moscow for the deadlock.

Putin reiterated that Russia has no intention of attacking Europe, but if forced, the response will be swift and harsh. He also stated that as long as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky remains in power, expecting a peace agreement is unrealistic. After the forum, Putin held a meeting with the American delegation, which lasted nearly five hours. Russian envoy Kirill Dmitriev called the discussion useful, while Kremlin official Yury Ushakov said the talks were constructive but no agreement has been reached yet, and further discussions will continue.
