New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The date of August 2, 2027 is going to be very special for those interested in astronomy. A rare and wonderful total solar eclipse will occur on this day, during which the Moon will completely cover the Sun for about 6 minutes. In this short period, many parts of the world will be almost completely dark during the day, which will be an unforgettable natural phenomenon.

This solar eclipse is being called a "once in a century" event due to its extraordinary duration and widespread visibility. Although total solar eclipses occur every one or two years, an eclipse lasting for such a long duration and visible to so many people around the world is extremely rare. Scientists and astronomers say that people should prepare for this event, as the next such opportunity will come again only after 100 years.

Those who are in the path of totality of the eclipse, i.e. in areas that fall directly under the shadow of the moon, will get the best view. During this time the sky will be dark, the outer atmosphere of the Sun (corona) will be visible to the naked eye, and the temperature will also drop. This event will be a spectacular reminder of the power and beauty of nature, which no one should miss.
