India Slams Pakistan at UN: “Don’t Call Destroyed Airbases and Burnt Hangars a Victory”

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): India launched a sharp counterattack against Pakistan at the United Nations, dismantling Islamabad’s hollow claims of military success. The rebuttal came after Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attempted to glorify “destroyed airbases and burnt hangars” as symbols of victory.
The Indian representative at the UN strongly criticized this narrative, pointing out that Pakistan’s obsession with spreading propaganda has become its only foreign policy tool. “It is laughable that a nation equates damage and destruction to its own facilities with victory. Instead of chest-thumping on false claims, Pakistan should focus on eradicating terrorism and stabilizing its crumbling economy,” the Indian delegate said.
India reminded the global community that Pakistan repeatedly misuses international platforms like the UN to push baseless allegations against New Delhi, while turning a blind eye to its own role in nurturing terrorism and extremist networks. By raising irrelevant issues, Pakistan seeks to divert attention from its internal failures — from political instability and economic crisis to human rights violations in its own territories.
India further asserted that truth and accountability cannot be buried under fabricated narratives. The world, it said, is increasingly aware of Pakistan’s attempts to mislead through propaganda, and New Delhi will continue to expose such falsehoods whenever they arise.
Diplomatic observers described India’s response as “clear and unambiguous,” reinforcing its position that baseless rhetoric will not go unchallenged.
