New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A startling claim has surfaced regarding the reported assassination of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. A recent report alleges that Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad infiltrated Tehran’s extensive traffic camera network to closely monitor the movements of Khamenei’s bodyguards and other senior Iranian officials. According to The Times of Israel, the same surveillance infrastructure allegedly used by Iran to track dissidents and protesters was turned against the country in a covert intelligence operation.
The report suggests that Israeli intelligence had accessed Iran’s traffic cameras years earlier. During this period, Mossad reportedly identified a strategically positioned camera that provided a clear view of the security arrangements surrounding Khamenei. This surveillance allegedly enabled operatives to observe where security personnel parked their vehicles and how they rotated duties. Over time, detailed records were reportedly compiled, including information about the guards’ schedules and security assignments.
Beyond camera surveillance, the report claims that communication systems were deliberately disrupted ahead of the attack. It alleges that cellular and phone services around Pasteur Street in Tehran were interfered with to prevent any emergency alerts from reaching security teams. The reported objective was to isolate the area and delay any rapid response.
