An Iranian attack on a Kuwait power and water plant killed an Indian worker, as Gulf tensions escalate with missile and drone strikes.

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Amid escalating tensions in the Gulf region, Iran carried out an attack on a power and water facility in Kuwait, resulting in the death of an Indian worker, officials confirmed on Monday.
According to Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, the incident occurred on Sunday evening when a service building at a power and desalination plant was targeted. Ministry spokesperson Fatima Abbas Johar Hayat stated that the attack caused severe damage to the facility and led to the death of an Indian employee.
The ministry described the strike as an act of aggression by Iran against Kuwait. The attack comes as several Gulf countries continue to feel the impact of the ongoing conflict involving United States, Israel, and Iran.
In a separate statement, Kuwait’s Defence Ministry revealed that since the conflict began nearly a month ago, the country has faced 307 ballistic missiles, two cruise missiles, and 616 drones.
Defence Ministry spokesperson Saud Al-Atwan said that in the last 24 hours alone, 14 ballistic missiles and 12 enemy drones were detected and neutralized. Some of these attacks targeted a Kuwaiti armed forces base, injuring 10 personnel and causing damage to infrastructure.
