Iran sends 20 oil tankers to United States amid war, Donald Trump claims
Donald Trump claims Iran is sending 20 oil tankers to the US amid war tensions, signaling possible negotiations alongside ongoing military actions.

Washington (The Uttam Hindu): Amid ongoing conflict involving Iran, United States and Israel, a major claim has been made by US President Donald Trump regarding oil shipments.
According to Trump, Iran has sent 20 large oil-laden ships to the United States through the Strait of Hormuz, even as tensions continue in the region. He stated that Iran has restricted passage in the Strait and is allowing only “friendly nations” to pass.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump said, “I cannot fully define it, but I think as a sign of respect, Iran is sending us 20 large oil tankers. This process will begin tomorrow morning and continue over the next few days.”
He added that Iran had initially agreed to send 10 ships, but later increased the number to 20. Trump also indicated that Iran now appears willing to reach an agreement.
The US President further stated that Washington is engaged in both direct and indirect talks with Iran, while military operations are still ongoing. “We have destroyed many of their targets today. Their navy and air force are nearly gone. We are negotiating, but we will strike hard if needed,” he said.
Trump once again criticized the 2015 nuclear deal negotiated during the tenure of Barack Obama, calling it “the worst and most foolish deal in history.” He claimed that had the agreement not been scrapped, Iran might have acquired nuclear weapons by now.
He also hinted that the US is aiming for a new and stricter agreement to ensure complete control over Iran’s nuclear and military capabilities.
