Iran warns US of 'defeat and regret', threatens escalation in conflict
Iran's top military command asserts its missile, drone, and air defense systems are operational, threatening escalated attacks
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Amid rising tensions in the Middle East, Iran has issued a stern warning to the United States. Amid the ongoing conflict with Israel, the Iranian military has said the war will continue until the US faces “defeat and regret.”
Iran's top military command center, the Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters, rejected the US claims, saying Washington misjudged Iran's true military strength. State media quoted the US as saying the conflict was initiated by the US and it would now have to bear the consequences.
A spokesman for Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters called the US claims misleading. He stated that the US's claim that it has weakened Iran's military capabilities is completely false. According to him, US intelligence assessments are incomplete and underestimate Iran's strategic strength. The spokesman clarified that Iran's missile systems, drone technology, and air defense systems are still fully operational and capable.
Iran warned that the conflict would continue, stating clearly that the US would pay a heavy price for this conflict. According to the spokesperson, the conflict would not end until the US experienced "permanent defeat and remorse." He hinted that more intense and destructive attacks could be carried out in the future.
Iran's strong statement comes at a time when tensions are running high in the region and a series of attacks between Israel and Iran are continuing, raising concerns globally.
