Israeli Attack Hits Tehran Hostel, 2 Kashmiri Students Hurt; MEA Launches Evacuation Plan

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The ongoing tension between Iran and Israel has once again made global headlines. Now common people have also come under the grip of this conflict. It is also affecting the safety of foreign students.
Last night, an attack took place near the boys' hostel for international students of Tehran University of Medical Sciences. Two Indian students were injured in this attack. Both these students are from Jammu and Kashmir.
2 Kashmiri students studying in Tehran injured in Israeli attack, Indian government will run operation to rescue people trapped in Iran : However, the condition of both the students is now stable and the university administration has transferred them to Ramsar keeping in mind their safety. This incident has raised concerns about the safety of Indian students studying in Iran. The local administration and the Indian Embassy are investigating the matter to find out the reasons and those responsible for the incident.
The Indian government is going to start an operation to evacuate Indians stranded in Iran. The Iranian government has said that foreign nationals including Indians will be sent safely to their country. According to media reports, Indian citizens stranded in Iran will be evacuated through Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan borders.
