New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The US and Israel have launched a joint military operation against Iran, targeting several key locations. According to the Iranian agency Mehr News, several attacks were carried out on the strategically important Kharg Island, further escalating tensions in the region. Meanwhile, the IRGC has warned the US not to cross the red line.

Meanwhile, following Israel's warning, all rail services have been suspended as a precautionary measure in Iran's major city of Mashhad. On the instructions of the local administration, all trains operating from the central railway station have been stopped until further notice. Officials say this step has been taken for security reasons. Meanwhile, a major attack has also taken place on the outskirts of the city of Qom. Qom Governor Morteza Heidari has confirmed that a key bridge connecting the communication network in this area, located south of Tehran, was targeted in a missile attack. This bridge is said to be located in the western part of the city.

According to the governor, the attacks occurred within minutes and caused damage to local infrastructure. However, no major casualties have been confirmed at this time. Authorities have issued a high alert throughout the region and are monitoring the situation.
