LPG cylinder becomes costlier: domestic gas price increased by ₹60 and commercial cylinder by ₹115

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu):Common people and businesses have received another blow of rising prices. From Saturday, March 7, the prices of both domestic and commercial LPG cylinders have been increased. Oil companies have raised the price of the 14.2-kg domestic cooking gas cylinder by ₹60, while the 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has become costlier by ₹115. The hike is expected to directly impact hotels, restaurants and small commercial establishments.
According to sources, in Delhi the price of a 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder has increased from ₹853 to ₹913. In Mumbai the price has risen from ₹852.50 to ₹912.50. Meanwhile, in Chennai the cost has gone up from ₹868.50 to ₹928.50. The revised prices have come into effect from Saturday.
Commercial cylinders also become costlier
Prices of 19-kg LPG cylinders used for commercial purposes have also been increased significantly.
Delhi: ₹1768.50 increased to ₹1883
Mumbai: ₹1720.50 increased to ₹1835
Kolkata: ₹1875.50 increased to ₹1990
Chennai: ₹1929 increased to ₹2043.50
It is important to note that this is the first change in domestic LPG cylinder prices since April 2025. The latest hike is likely to increase the financial burden on both household consumers and commercial users.
