Tel Aviv (The Uttam Hindu): Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited areas hit by recent missile strikes in Dimona and Arad and accused Iran of targeting civilians. He said the developments over the past 48 hours show that Iran poses a serious threat to global security and alleged that residential zones including daycare centers and elderly homes were targeted.

Netanyahu also claimed that banned weapons such as cluster munitions were used and called it a violation of international law. He urged the global community to take a clear stand and called for decisive action, stating that Israel and the United States are fighting for broader global security. He questioned how long other nations would remain silent on the issue.

He further alleged that missiles landed close to major religious sites in Jerusalem including the Church of the Holy Sepulcher the Al Aqsa Mosque and the Western Wall. The strike in Dimona near the Shimon Peres Negev Nuclear Research Center is under investigation. Netanyahu also claimed Iran is expanding its reach targeting military bases and disrupting oil supply routes such as the Strait of Hormuz. Iran has not issued any official response and tensions in the region remain high.
