Kathmandu (The Uttam Hindu): Law and order has completely collapsed in Nepal after the violent protests on Tuesday. More than 6000 prisoners are reported to have escaped from 18 jails across the country, which has created panic in the administration.

According to the information received, prisoners lodged in different jails of the country took advantage of the violence and broke the jail and escaped. According to the initial data, 5,727 prisoners have escaped from only 15 jails.

However, the exact number of prisoners who escaped from Kathmandu Central Jail, Nakhkhu Jail and Tanahun Jail is not yet clear, and the figure is expected to increase further. This incident has further aggravated the already tense security situation in the country.
