Massive fire in Brampton, Canada: Five dead including Indian nationals; pregnant woman jumped from window to survive

The tragic incident claimed the lives of five people, including Indian nationals. The Indian Consulate in Toronto immediately took note of the situation and expressed heartfelt condolences to the affected families. Officials confirmed that they have contacted the families and are providing all possible assistance during this difficult time.
According to local media and police reports, the heartbreaking incident occurred around 2:15 AM on the night of 19–20 November in a home located near McLaughlin Road and Remembrance Road. The fire spread so quickly that the people inside had almost no time to escape. Police Constable Tyler Bell stated that by the time rescue teams arrived, three women and a young child had already died at the scene. The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office is currently investigating the exact cause of the fire.
One of the most distressing parts of the tragedy was the condition of a pregnant woman caught in the flames. In a desperate attempt to save her life, she jumped out of a window. She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, where doctors performed an emergency surgery to save her baby. Unfortunately, despite all efforts, the newborn did not survive, raising the death toll to five. Police said that four other hospitalized individuals are in stable condition, though some remain seriously injured.
