'Modi ji, I want justice'…Pakistani woman's anguished plea to PM Modi; Here's what happened

Karachi (The Uttam Hindu): Once again, a woman's anguished cry from across the border has reached India, but this time it's not about love, but about deceit and fraud. A video of Nikita Nagdev, a resident of Karachi, Pakistan, is rapidly going viral on social media, in which she is pleading for justice with folded hands to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Nikita alleges that her husband, Vikram Nagdev, deceitfully sent her back to Pakistan and is now secretly preparing to marry again in Delhi.
According to Nikita, she married Vikram Nagdev on January 26, 2020, in Karachi, according to Hindu rituals. Vikram is originally from Pakistan but has been living in Indore, India, on a long-term visa (LTV). Vikram brought her to India just a month after their wedding. Nikita alleges that after arriving in India, she discovered her husband was having an illicit relationship with a relative. When she complained about this to her father-in-law, he dismissed the matter, saying, "Boys have affairs; nothing can be done about it."
The victim stated that on July 9, 2020, her husband, citing a technical issue with his visa, abandoned her at the Attari border and forcibly sent her back to Pakistan. Since then, Vikram has flatly refused to bring her back to India and is now planning to remarry a woman from Delhi. Nikita, becoming emotional, said in the video that if she doesn't get justice, women will lose faith in the law.
Nikita filed a written complaint in January of this year, after which the matter reached the Sindhi Panch Mediation and Legal Council Center in Indore. Since both parties are Pakistani citizens, the council recommended Vikram's deportation to Pakistan in its report. The Indore Collector has also ordered an investigation into the matter. Currently, Nikita is looking with hope to PM Modi to stop her husband's illegal second marriage and ensure justice for her.
